I would really love it if Oda could do something interesting and unique rather than another seemingly bad wild card turned into a good guy. Setup was so good, so much hype, killing him would set a very heavy tone and precedent for not just this arc but the entire final saga.
These two are not competent villains if they leave here without killing Loki. He called the celestial dragons trash to their faces. Then he refused to join them and laughed at them even while they beat him unconscious. To know his strength and simply leave him there after he blasphemes to God’s own Knights means these are just another pair of incompetent, predictable, story telling device villains who will simply be beaten in a *yawn* extreme diff battle *snore* even though it looks like they had the upper hand before Luffy’s new power up *zzzzzz*.
Just so tired of being strung along by this rich bastard throwing an entire new set of incompetent villains at us just to make us sit through 50 chapters of “good guys get beaten, somehow spared by the idiot villain who explains his master plan, oh look good guys came back with a powerup and new allies, beat up the bad guy by punching him really hard, then escape with a magical ship that knows where they are and just happened to go there underwater so it could pop up and rescue them at exactly the right moment” bullshit.
