Character Discussion Yamato knows Luffy’s dream

So I’m going to be honest, I don’t like Yamato as a character. She seems like a very fanservice-y character. Someone Oda honestly might have inserted last minute on an editor’s request to possibly gain traction with the fandom, such as the supernova.

Nonetheless, I believe she has a decent chance of becoming straw hat. Why?

She knows Luffy’s dream. This isn’t something just any character is given knowledge of. No only a select group of characters who are intimately close to Luffy know his dream.

the only people who know it are Luffy’s brothers, Shanks, the SHs,… and Yamato.

Still I feel like as a character, Yamato just doesn’t fit with the SHs. Maybe Oda can change that, but until he does, I feel like she’d honestly make a better addition to the grand fleet or even Law’s crew, than the SHs.

We are in Final Saga, almost 500 Chapters since Luffy asked Last SH to Join (Which happened before They even entered New World)
And People are still discussing Future SHs?

Yamato, Kin'emon, Momo, Carrot, Tama, Pedro, Grand Fleet, Vivi, Bellamy ... etc are Luffy's Allies, and Second Part of Story is building up towards making the entire World rise the SH Flag, that's all (Just like Dr. Hiriluk said, the Flag will Unite them)

Just like Ace said "Anyone can be a D." to Sabo
The same for "Anyone can be considered a Straw Hat Pirate" (The Hat even looks like a D. on Purpose)

But We all know that "Main" SHs are ones who filled a Role on Luffy's Ship (Nine)
And the same for Main (D), there is gonna be Nine Original Members

We already discovered Rocks, Gol, Portgas, Jaguar, Trafalgar, Marshall, Monkey & Nefertari
Meaning there is only One D. Family Left to be revealed

This concept was also shown with Scabbards, there are Nine Original Scabbards, but just like Shinobu confirmed, anyone can become a Scabbard as long as they follow Oden's Will

So stop expecting anyone to become a Full-Time SH on board Thousand Sunny, but many will rise SH Flag

Yeah I feel like it makes more sense for Yamato to join Law’s crew, as Oden joined WB, with Luffy just telling her and Law what he saw on Laugh Tale.

Either way, Yamato is a proof of how the fandom loves Oda. He baits Yamatobros with very convincing proofs (Luffy's dream is just one of many) and ultimately doesn't deliver, yet there is no backlash at all.

I remember a harem fandom once burn manga volumes to convey their dissatisfaction 😂

Oda probably originally had Yamato joining, but decided it would be easier to make her an ally at the end.

I don't know why most people here don't like Yamato. As a woman, I find her inspiring. She spent her entire life sticking to the values she learned from Oden and the samurai caged with her, defying her father and his entire crew and never accepting the roles they tried to push her into, learning to survive on her own and fight in the process. She is a strong woman, physically and mentally, and I wish I had even half her strength.

I'm not even sure she was "inserted in the last minute" as you say, since she was the one who made Ace's vivre card, which we saw back in Arabasta. Ace also mentioned he visited Wano back in Marineford, Oda must have had some idea of what he was doing there or who he met.

Yamato has one more role to play before she can join Luffy. Her DF is the guardian of Wano, and that's the reason she stayed. Wano is still guarding Pluton. Now that Kaido has fallen, someone will definitely want to lay their hands on it (pirates? the WG?) and she will be the one protecting it along with Momo, or perhaps finally opening Wano borders to release it.

Don't underestimate her!

I think she will join, because oda hinted about her joining in chapter 1056 when Momo called the straw hats by their joining order, & then he called Yamato. for me this proves that Oda didn't just change his mind in the last minute, because it not possible for a writer to go against his plans in the last chapter of the arc (1057).
so I think that Yamato's joining was postponed, just like Jinbe, not to mention that Jinbe's joining was in Wano, and it's very unlikely for two straw hats to join in the same arc.
I also hate how Yamato tries to be Oden, that's very annoying, but I hope she gets some development in her character, and finds a new dream.
