I wouldnt say destroy, and context matters. She wanted the alliance to increase her army. May have something to do with whitebeard having a bigger fleet/quality of fighters.
Either way no top tier is destroying another.

Also, the latest thing that hints at kaido maybe being above whitebeard is the ace novel.

GIven that Kaidou last met BM is decades ago, WB hasn't met Kaidou for 21 years (or else he would know shit is going down in Wano), Shanks was only known for his duels with Mihawk. It's amazing that in 21 years none of the Yonkou even crossed path with eachother. Makes me wonder how did Kaidou get stronger, by doing pushups?

I think it's too soon and too unfair to say that WB is a Coward.
Maybe the best explanation I can think about why WB didn't avange Oden's death is because he knew about the prophecy, he knew that momonosuke is transferred to the future and if he happens to destroy Kaido and Orochi, then wano will be left with no leader, bcs momo wasn't there, and there will be no-one with a strong enough influence to rule wano and even more so to open its border. This somehow related to why he choose to save Ace : because he believed that the one Roger waiting for is Ace, at least until WB meet luffy.

The strongest Kaido is the current one and same goes for BM, otherwise she would not tie after a 3 day battle with Kaido. Also we saw the start of their clash, aka the greeting they gave each other aka the sky splitter blow that is a replica of what happened when Shanks met WB on the Moby dick before Marineford. So that is already a little hint saying Kaido~BM~Shanks~old sick WB. At least if we go by the greetings they gave each other. Anyway the point is that the greeting primebeard gave Roger and viceversa is on a whole another level no Kaido or BM can replicate because they are not even close to that level of strength.
