I’ve noticed a lot of my fellow Zoro fans are falling into that same old trap of ignoring precedent in favor of wish fulfillment matchups. Zoro vs Kizaru, much like the ZKK theory, is one such wish fulfillment.
While it’s certainly possible Zoro will clash with Kizaru, this isn’t his role.
The manga is clear on this. The raid on egghead is led by Kizaru alongside 9 VAs. While Saturn is above Kizaru in rank, he wants his presence to remain a secret.
What this means is, Kizaru is the main antagonist, the VAs are his subordinates, and Saturn is a 3rd party antagonist.
precedent is very clear on what the matchups, if any, shall be.

9 SHs vs 9 VAs
This isn’t y’alls first one piece arc.
Anyways, despite being a subordinate, Oda always gives Zoro special treatment amongst the SHs. His role is specifically to save Luffy’s ass. Kinda like Bepo and what Killer tried to do. Given how Saturn seems to be sitting out the main battle, there is a very big chance Zoro will have to save a tired and injured Luffy from Saturn at the end of the arc.
much as he did against Kuma.
And a connection between the two. Kuma is a cyborg. Saturn is the god of scientific defense, meaning there is a very high chance that he too is a cyborg.
Saturn is surely a top tier, and he has a decent chance of being stronger than Kizaru. Much as in the past, Zoro will show off massive feats against Saturn, proving his worth as Luffy’s RHM.
