Hyogoro- " Strawhatman,Your powers will bloom in the time of crisis"
I think the 2 quotes above have to do with the magnitude of the scar Zoro gave Kaido.
We know Zoro like Luffy usually taps into powers above his limits when in extreme conditions( Daz vs Zoro in Alabasta) and from the quotes above,I think Zoro had an Haki blooming this chapter even though subconscious.
Zoro tells Kaido he put all his mind into the attack and doesn't seem to understand what Kaido is talking about when he mentions Zoro being A conqueror.
Zoro did not use Bursts of basic CoC applications,if he did Law would have noted something.
Instead,Kaido only commented after Ashura landed on him hinting subconscious use of CoC imbuing like Luffy consistently demonstrated later.
I think this version of Ashura was definitely above what Zoro's normal Ashura is capable of achieving and is a thus an example of Haki blooming.
