I'd love to know the creation process behind Ogre in Tekken 3. Who decided a giant Aztec alien who turns into a giant bat monster was the right kind of final boss?

They wanted to make the ultimate fighter, someone who surpasses every other human, as proven by his title, Toshin ("God of Fighting"). This would mean either: 1. the supernatural route, thus an actual god; or 2. something more... "mundane". So, what's above humanity? Extraterrestrials are. So Ogre is an alien. And aliens are green. But Ogre's martial superiority comes from his adaptability to other martial styles,

& to adapt to them all, he must've been around for a long time. Meaning that he came to Earth in the distant past. The devs went outside Japan to amplify the otherness of Ogre. Medieval Europe is quite cliché, & already done to death by Soul Calibur, their other in-house project. They turned down Africa, which left them with America and Oceania. But nobody likes an Aussie tyrant alien (which is less marketable), so

America it is. And if Ogre is supposed to be the apex of might & cruelty, well, what do you know, history has just the right cultural backdrop for him to revel in: the home of human sacrifice par excellence, the Aztec civilization. If he is an "ogre" he is, ofc, a giant; and if he is into human sacrifice, he is bloodthirsty, hence a bat/vampire, which works as a contrast to the Aztecs' worship of the sun.
about to start watching sopranos, let's see how cooking it is
He met me at my lowest, so I pray while on my knees
Know it be my Father when you see me at my peak
Broken down in pieces, but today I feel complete
We too good like grandmama's home cooking
Prove 'em wrong when they tried to overlook us
Thank God that they never overtook us
Thank God that my life He's overlooking
And they say pain come and goes, but what if it don't leave, nah?
Yeah, I keep falling down and down and down again, I'm down on my knees
And I keep asking Father, why me?
He said just keep going, help is on the way

It be cold nights that feel like fairytales
Was on the highway, but on the way to Hell

I don't deserve it 'cause I ain't worth it
Don't understand 'cause sometimes I feel like a burden
But God saved me, yeah, He saved me
I had a whole inside my heart when I was baby
But He said I'm His
Just hold on
God don't make mistakеs, that's what we do
I've been hurt by so many peoplе
It's a war outside of good and evil
I know whose I am, so I don't need y'all
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Heavenly Father, I need it
Blax Blah
Blax Blah
Don't need to see it to believe it
It's hard to live, but I keep breathing
[Chorus: Errol Allen]
And they say pain come and goes, but what if it don't leave, nah?
Yeah, I keep falling down and down and down again, I'm down on my knees
And I keep asking Father, why me?
He said just keep going, help is on the way

[Verse 2: DizzyEight]
Yeah, we then came a long way
Could've been the guy that went the wrong way
Blax Blah

But You gave me brothers who ride on them long days
So you know we good, no matter what a storm brings, uh
We too good like grandmama's home cooking
Prove 'em wrong when they tried to overlook us
Thank God that they never overtook us
Thank God that my life He's overlooking
"It was then that Mob realized he failed to change as he had promised himself. He didn't know where to direct his emotions. His powerlessness born from overwhelming contradictions. And the feeling he would never be able to conquer himself. Sadness. What had just occurred was Mobs meager attempt at resisting his inner self."
