I did but still, I think maybe it's that the fighting style is unique and takes some getting used to, which the anime does well, before the manga can become easy to understand

The anime massively fumbled 2nd form Juubi's bijuu dama. They fumbled the war arc in general. Lots of outsourcing, trash animations, trash pacing, dozens of filler episodes.

Sorry, I forgot to reply to you in the spoiler thread. But do you really think Imu is going to warp back to Elbaf and be ambushed by Blackbeard? Wouldn't that be way too jarring?

Yeah, and as I mentioned, there has to be three more Holy Knights.

Now, I do believe Teach will finish Imu off...but not until Luffy and Imu's sides are fighting and he goes in for the kill.

Personally I think it will either go:
1. Imu domi reversis BB then Luffy and Coby defeat him
2. Luffy just beats BB before Imu

Imo it's very possible that

Blackbeard's evil actions will lead to his fall earlier than we might think

His and Luffy's fruits are set up as opposites, so BB's fruit is imo based on Imu

And when that gets awakened it could cause him to get taken over and "fall", losing everything to Imu and becoming his soldier
