-that make up Westeros, but the people of Westeros never acknowledge the flaws of those systems and seem to view them as natural or necessary. That’s part of why I love Jahaerys, he is both Westeros’s best king, and its worst from a certain perspective.

Saying that Jahaerys is just a bad king is lazy imo. Objectively he is the best Targaryen King in many ways.

I would also say Jahaerys also couldn't forsee the actions of his two dumbass great-grandchildren destroying the foundation of their power, either. Because if even Aerys still had dragons, Robert's Rebellion would have been a failure.

Actually, @Elder Lee Hung, say the Dance of the Dragons never happens, or Aegon II and Rhaenyra just settle it in a duel, and the dragons still are around. Is there any possibility of Robert's Rebellion succeeding if huge fuckers like Vermithor or Carexes are still around?
