I hope the flashback will also explain why Orochi owes "everything" to Oden, like Yasuie said. I'm going to take a guess about his origins if he wasn't just a random peasant who got lucky; Orochi's clan was supposed to be the ruling family of Kuri, but were so bad at it, that they were held no power at all, and were poor, and seen as the "black sheep" of the Samurai. And when Oden tamed it and was named Daimyo, Orochi became his servant, and then slowly wormed his way to his father.
Tbh I want to see lady toki more than oden...is she gonna be a beauty or not?is she a wanonese or she come from foreign land coz of time travel?...what if she came from the ryuuma time?is she marry to ryuuma and then marry to oden after ryuuma die?or is she relate to imu somehow? Why she stopped time travel in oden time? What is she see in oden that make decide to settle there?she can simply travel again to future when luffy is already became pirate king and marry him if she simply want to get better life lol... Damn i am hyped right now give me damn flashback oda...
I'm sure it will. I expect to stay in flashback for a while. We'll get details on Oden's ascent from delinquent to shogun, his journeys with Whitebeard and Roger, how he met Toki, how he gathered the 9 scabbards and how he was taken down by Orochi and Kaido.
Add to that possible details on the God Valley incident, Rocks, Kozuki Clan's connection to Wano's isolationism, Poneglyph and Void Century lore.
Yeah this will hopefully be a LONG and THICC flashback, SHOWER ME WITH YOUR LORE ODA

I don't think that's despicable enough. I feel like Oda wants to make Orochi out be the worst kind of scum with no redeeming values. If his family were chased out of power, I think that makes his side SOMEWHAT understandable.
My proposition is that Orochi was one of the Kuri drecks Oden helped, but eventually betrayed him for an opportunity to more power. That makes Orochi completely detestable, and justifies the anger the SHs (especially Luffy) felt when they heard what Orochi did.
There's also the potential Shimotsuki stuff we could learn and how else it connects to Zoro's home village. Maybe even a look at Ushimaru and Onimaru together.
