Now that we are well into the meat of this arc. We can piece together what plot points are actually important and what aren't and what is being set up and what isn't.

One thing that's clearly unimportant is Zoro's parentage but one thing that's clearly been set up is his connection to Wano.

The reason his parentage is unimportant is because there's NOT EVEN ONE biological marker or inherited marker linking Zoro to anyone. No Roronoa clan, no Ashura demon mode clan, no green haired clan (since hair color in wano means nothing) nothing. Not even a three ear pin clan. Silhouette of characters being similar to Zoro also amount to nothing since Kamazou was a candidate and that went no where. At best you have to pull out Ryuma's Monster design and that was a whole other manga entirely so thats reaching.

There's been zero mention of Anyone knowing Zoro and zero mention of Zoro knowing anyone else.

Although, as of now can tell Zoro does have a connection to Wano via Koushiro making his backstory somewhat relevant. Its even served directly into the plot already wth him taming Enma so easily because he practiced with Enma's sister Sword Wado Ichimonji, Koshirou's sword.

Now with all the facts so far. What are the theories for Zoro's patantage so far?

Yeah, I don't think Zoro's parentage is going to come up at all on Wano. Kind of a bummer given how little we know about it, but I suppose there's still time to learn about his history when it comes to him becoming WSS.

Only thing I'm still slightly, slightly interested in is Ushimaru. I don't like using silhouettes cause they can be very deceiving, but there is something about him that reminds me of Zoro.

First time i hear that Kamazou is Zoro's father.
Anyway, I'm not against the idea of Zoro's parents being from Wano, maybe even from Shimotsuki clan and Ryuma's descendant, it'd give Zoro additional grudge to Kaido and Orochi and all that "The second coming of Ryuma" stuff would be more symbolic.

He must have some connection to the Shimotsuki clan (perhaps not blood related), as Ushimaru’s silhouette kinda looked like him, and he took to Yasuie really quick despite typically being a loner.

I’m still intrigued by the “SNATCH” thing, and how it’s supposedly a word from way back when in Wano...that seems like the thread by which his backstory will unravel, even if he’s not directly descended from anyone in Wano.

I really hope Zoro is a self made man with no privileged genetics, whatsoever. He is THE badass by hard work alone. If he indeed gets some family background, I hope his parents were just random people with nothing special. Zoro's only "superpower" being his unshakeable will.
