Not as trash and hollow as your take to categorize that as

"a throwaway line from Zeff"

and fail to understand the impact such a request would have on Sanji after said arc where we explored the issues of Judge as a parent to him in name only, as well as the source of much of his pain and sorrow, and the finding of Zeff as the one who took it upon himself to become the father Sanji never had.
Lmfao its dogshit writing.
He has a reason not to hit women.
His mum and his sister
The only 2 people to show him kindness in his life at that point
That being his reason is far better than a throwaway line from zeff
Who gives a shit about the father he never had when its more poignant coming from the perspective of the mom and sister he did have

Because that's not a good reason to "never hit women".

It's a good reason to be less inclined to do that, but not to stick to that at the risk of losing everything.

It has to be a rule enforced by another and with as much weight as Zeff put on it, in the context in which it was enforced, to explain why Sanji can't go against it.

Where cause zeff said so
Then oda comes out with some shit about oh he wants to but hes not physically capabale
Both his emotional and physical freedom was saved by his mom and sister. Thats more weight than a throwaway line from zeff

I agree with the sentiment that there's no good reason to hate on Sanji

However, you are guilty of a mistake many make with your first argument in this thread. The Baratie scene is always brought up while ignoring the whole discussion that happens around it afterwards and it's conclusion

It's not that Sanji did not have it in him, but that he'd "stifle that very spear" for Zeff's sake.

That arc serves as evidence that he can be like Luffy and Zoro in this regard, not the opposite. That's what kickstarts his journey.

This is very true for Luffy and Zoro as well btw. They both get swayed by emotions and put themselves in harm way for the sake of others weaker than them. Luffy and Zoro would not be "perfect Germa soldiers" either.
Yes that's what I want to see
You are a great Sanji fan Kuro

Lawd have mercy this thread is beyond dumb and pathetic

It's not that Sanji didnt have resolve as a person. He sacrificied his resolve to protect Zeff and his treasure.

Sanji stifiles his conviction an dreams away just so he can stay and fight for the sake of Zeff's treasure. The exact same stifiling Zoro ends up doing in Thriller Bark, where he gives up his dreams and sacrifices himself to protect Luffy's dream. And now currently Zoro's biggest goal first is to make Luffy PK. However when Sanji does it he "lacks" conviction, but when Zoro does its amazing.

The flashback of child Sanji shows he has enough conviction to die for his dream

Judge brought up:

- Weak durability
- Cooking
- Protects the weak

Aside from cooking, is Zoro not the same ? Does Zoro not have normal human durability and does he not protect weak people ? How does this allude to not being a badass fighter. Judge would think Zoro is a failure too. Tf are you on ?

Baratie arc has shown fighting is second nature to Sanji, and him being know as just a person who is a "cook" is disrespectful.

The fact that people are really buying into this bait as a good thread is just purely disappointing. Whatever....
Good reply
Funny thing I bet no one will even read this, or be convinced because they will still want to cling onto their distorted narrative about Sanji nOt HaViNg a ReSolVe SiMiLaR tO LuFfY aNd ZoRo

The way you are framing Zeff's request in the most diminishing manner show just how bad faith your argument and stance on this matter is.

It was the best decision from Oda not to make it something that Sanji reasoned is a good thing to do, because that would not be defensible.

You know that as well, because you've seen Sanji being attacked for this time and time again.

It's true, it does not make sense for Sanji to come to the conclusion that he should not attack any woman, no matter what.

Sanji's mom being nice to him, and his sister somewhat nice to him as well, at least when compared to his other siblings, would not be a good argument for him to decide that all women are to be valued so much that he should never attack them. One could argue then that he would diminish the significance of what his mother/sister did for him, if he'd group the worst women in the world alongside them when it comes to his policy.

It can't be something Sanji decides is good to do. It has to be something he is locked into doing by another in a moment of utmost signififance.

Zeff calling himself Sanji's parent and Sanji having the realization that Zeff's sees him as his son is such a moment.

At least for any reasonable person who can understand that moment, and how everything that we learned about Sanji's past feeds into enhancing that moment and it's significance.

Blah blah blah
Without his mom he becomes an emotionless robot
Without reiju he never escapes to even meet zeff in the first place
Its hilarious how you sink so low to diminish that to big up a throwaway line from zeff
Lmfao nice to him ? They literally saved his life emotionally and physically

Honestly this thread is so stupid. It says Sanji fans are Judge's children because we apparently want "Sanji to be like Zoro and Luffy".Then wouldn't that logically make Zoro the exact same as the Vinsmoke children lmao.

Sanji was ready to drop his All Blue dream the moment he landed on Fishman Island. Stop capping like that didn’t happen...

Sanji isn’t built the same way as Luffy and Zoro. What you described is the same shit Nami and Usopp did in Wano/Alabasta or Chopper did in Upper Yard or what Robin did in Enies Lobby. It isn’t at all comparable to Nothing Happened.

Literally the downsides of going to WCI was a marriage which Sanji proudly accepted. The downside to nothing happened was Zoro dies, and Kuma takes Luffy or the crew. Totally different.

Try again..
