I like all of these possibilities. Could be an event triggered by a passive, mafia or even a game mechanic.

Lanji committing suicide was definitely unexpected. I doubt Fuji was his soul mate, fuji's soulmate should be Subaru. So either a mafia ability or a hidden mechanic.

Also, this could definitely be like Femto's sacrifice. That's why I want other people's opinion on the three players first.

To continue on what I said if it's a passive I believe we should have at least one scum in there. As in the passive would work like adding at least 1 scum and x number of townies and forcing town to lynch one of them. If it's mafia's doing I can see the same thing. They had to put one of their own there too, because it would be too OP imo without that.

Definitely possible. Out of all the three I will be honest, poison looks the worst to me so far. But I'm not sure of Emilia either.

It could be that the soulmates aren‘t the counter parts of the same series. Or it happens every time a Lady gets killed that a random Gentleman commits suicide.

The only problem with the pairing idea is that if the other pair chose to not challenge anyone, then they can't be challenged either. So we don't know if Emilia and Usopp even had an RPS with Rhea and Reborn.
