BM is the one who told Kaido to dodge. If she didn't take it serious then she wouldn't say anything. Kaodo lwughs because he likes to fight and War. Literally his goal is to start wars and he loves Strong people.

Yeah Oda sometimes says some shit and then does the opposite or forgot what he said or did before.
I do think Luffy can move but prefer to rely on Zoro to recover faster (sucks for Zoro that he has to carry the guy though), but he didn't let himself get eaten, he simply didn't see it coming.
Off topic, I think the idea of haki being finite is stupid, or at least if you use too much of CoA why the hell is it affecting your CoO? They are 2 different type of haki.

He let his guard down and didn't move (when Oda confirmed in SBS he could move in that Dressrosa scenario) which completely negates HA001's argument, that MUH THIS TIME IS DIFFERENT, because that hinges on the fact that he wasn't in danger then but was now, no he was in danger both times and let his guard down because he wanted to trust in them and recover as soon as possible to turn the tide of the battle.
He trusted fodder in Dressrosa and they fucked up, he trusted Zoro here and he fucked up (recooped it, but still). In any case it is PIS because Law should have teleported Luffy rather than explain his powers to confused Midd.
