Orochi isn't a combatant though? He is a coward that relied on Kyoshiro to protect him. King has a Meitou and seems to be a swordsman.

I'm not sure how they'll play it, maybe he is an awakened devil fruit user and will be weak/cowardly at the beginning and then after awakening is a monster, I just don't see such an amazing df being used as a throw away fight. I could be wrong and he could be Spandam fodder, but I think there are hints he might be more, and emotionally speaking killing him would be a massive pay off and a big moment.
