Maybe in Juan piece. Sanji would never fight someone who he directly counters it’s too easy. In these arcs the straw hats face opponents they have to overcome to get stronger there’s no benefit in fighting perospero.

The Sanji's downplaying has gone like this so far:
- his final opponent will be Page One, the weakest tobiroppo, they'll have a rematch while Jimbei will fight a Calamity lol (even if Sanji already trashed him like 40 chapters ago)
- his final opponent will be Black Maria lol (even if it should be very clear at this moment that Sanji won't ever hurt a woman no matter what)
- ok, then his final opponent will be half dead Jack lol
- h-his final opponent will be Perospero, it's the most logical match-up you know l-lol

Is it really that hard to swallow the fact that Sanji is the third strongest in the crew, we are reading a shonen and so he could possibly defeat a YC in a fair match? :)

Wano is not a normal arc if it was zoro would be fighting king right now. Marco isn’t fighting king. I don’t know why your still using that stupid thinking of Odas tropes when if that’s the case you have to believe zoro is fighting king because zoro takes the right hand every arc.

There is not enough of a substantial portray for Sanji v King to occur above Sanji v Queen, odds wise. Let's for example see what Perospero does first, and we will recap the situation. From a plot perspective Sanji v Queen most likely bears a lot of potential significance, at least apparently. And Drake could fit too.

Finding out how healthy/fatigued the characters are will possibly not be detrimental, since I doubt Oda will necessarily force power level dynamics too much. But maybe if he really wants Sanji to take on a big folk, he could contrive them enough. It already happened with several character in Enies Lobby, no shame about it.
