If zoro fights him. Yep that’s the only way it’s actually feasibly possible. Otherwise sanji is fighting king.

90% of people’s arguements is based off of previous one piece arcs “ Sanji never fights people he clashes with “ “ zoro always fights the second strongest sanji always fights the third strongest”

yet zoro is on the roof in a team fight which Oda has never done yet and people think that wano is supposed to be a “normal” arc in what happens.

Sanji will absolutely fight king if zoro doesn’t it’s really that simple and doesn’t even really have to be said.

Do I believe zoro will? No I believe that’s only happening if the raid fails.

I’m just making this post just to use your guys logic. If anything zoro should be fighting king like how he always takes the second strongest and right hand of the main villian..... yet zoro is on the roof. So there is no formula Oda is using this arc. If he was he wouldn’t have made the rooftop fight start before all matchups.

The formula argument is the dumbest argument someone can possibly use on why sanji won’t fight king unless you believe zoro is fighting him it’s really that simple and if you still use the argument your a hypocrite

many other people including me have brought up proof of sanji vs king yet you guys use the formula arguement. It’s hypocritical

Finding out how healthy/fatigued the characters are will possibly not be detrimental, since I doubt Oda will necessarily force power level dynamics too much. But maybe if he really wants Sanji to take on a big folk, he could contrive them enough. It already happened with several character in Enies Lobby, no shame about it.

This being Zoro's arc, he's getting near importance as Luffy....like Sanji got last arc. Being seen as one of the saviors. So him fighting King was always off the table. I still believe Zoro will defeat Orochi which is the secondary antagonist. However if he doesnt, his role is just to support Luffer against Kaido.

Marco defeating King is abysmal.

There is definitely a lot of proof not only is there a lot of proof just look at king as a character.

we have a couple of clues of his past but no idea on his race. Why would Oda make king lose to anyone but zoro or sanji when he is a character he will develop in a big way?

queen was interested in zoro also but I don’t see you saying zoro vs queen.

queen literally made one line about sanjis famous family. While on the other hand there’s so much proof of sanji fighting king.

Not only that but x drake actually knows all about vegapunk weapons and he even hinted that he knows the type of weapons queen uses when queen started to use his plague bullets.

there’s way more set up for that.

Also the tobi roppo taking down calamity story line. If a Tobi roppo beats a calamity they get their spot. Drake was the only one teased to take down a specific calamity and that was queen who drake himself said “ Im not interested”

I was all for Sanji vs king after seeing initial designs and abilities but after seeing Queens body and powers I’m getting on the Sanji vs Queen train because I feel Odas going to do a thing where Queen will be a better flyer than king and get germa boosters on his body somewhere.

Zoro vs King to me became more legit once:

1. Zoro cut fire

2. Zoro still seeming to have issues regulating enma and his power.

Zoro vs King will help Zoro get acclimated to Enma

here’s reasons why drake will fight queen

1. Who’s who said “ if queen were to die suddenly whos next up.... it would be you right” drake said “ nah I’m not interested

2. Oda laid out the plot point of a Tobi roppo taking down a calamity. Why introduce it if it never happens?


3. Drakes species of dinosaurs hunts qheens

4. Queen hates drake for being a traiotr

5. Drake knows all about the scientific weapons queen has and knows all about vegapunk. Do people forget drake served under queen and that island drake went to in the new world called “ kaidos favorite island”is a weapons factory? Weapons. Who uses weapons? Queen

I know. Only Marco and Sanji can solo him outside of some of the guys on the rooftop.
But we'll see who will fight him.
I'm all for Sanji but Oda is still making Sanji wandering around for now. Hopefully next chapter we'll finally find out who he will fight although I'm afraid he is going to focus on fucking Hyogoro. Again.

like I said. Formula is only a dumb reason if you don’t follow it for all characters. If Oda already is breaking his formula then why should you apply it to another character? That’s all I’m tryna say

There are only 2 people I see fighting King.
Either Marco or Sanji.
Marco looks like he is going to get sniped by Perospero.
Do I see anyone preventing that?
Not right now. Sanji is still going to meet Yamato. Perospero is right there near Marco already.
I actually would dig Sanji + Yamato vs King + Queen. A full 2v2 instead of 2 1v1.
One of them knocks Perospero out and saves Marco from getting finished.

The roof fight is gonna stay as it is.

Well it is really highly possible that Sanji fight King. Marco would go help the supernova on the roof. or rest a little bit.
the second strongest in this arc is BM or Kaido himself since one of them can be a little stronger. and BM is a sword Woman i assume she will lose Zeus as soon as they land in the Flower Capital. I can see Nami lure Ulti outside and uses the same Attack against her like the one used against BM in WCI.
So BM can used her Sword to fight Zoro then Prometheus will be useless against him. BM will lose considerable amount of power if she loses Zeus. for sure Zoro needs help but i can see him lands the last attack on her while Luffy lands the last attack on Kaido.
Sanji can fight King. Sanji was beaten by Black Maria and King was hit by Marco's attack so that would be fair. and Sanji will still fight the third strongest.

Wouldn't be surprised if there's a 3v3 tag team match involving:

Marco, Sanji, Drake vs King, Queen, Perospero

That way you get both the Sanji-Queen, Drake-Queen angles, and also Sanji helping to defeat King with Marco, and some Whole Cake Island throwbacks with Sanji and Perospero on top.

Not sure Sanji will fight King 1v1 unless King gets significantly wounded by Marco first.

Change Marco with hawkins. I see hawkins going for perospero I don’t think he is just gonna come in last minute on the roof
