Kejon is onto something here, the reason Law could beat Vergod was because he had the Shichibukai power boost, once he lost his position he couldn't match Doffy who still had his power boost.

I think it would have been better if Oda went with Hawkins being the one Supernova to be a Warlord. As Law as a Warlord felt pretty pointless for the most part. Like, he was introduced as one in Punk Hazard.....and then is stripped of it early into Dressrosa.
