-Oden is sent to Onigashima during the current evens and witnesses Kaido's fall as well as his scabbards being alive

-Oden is sent back to the past in his cell

-Oden knows from there that Kaido will fall in 20 yrs, he also knows he cant survive the execution "I'm definitely gonna die today" bit that his scabbards will which is why he carries them and throw them away

my guessing:
Toki can make a contract between 2 points in history and switch objects between them once. So it need to be 2 points where she plans to. Like oden in prison and now at the scabbards. And when the time runs out, he is back at the prison.

- Now Onimaru took Oden appearance to motivate the scabbards
- That’s their contribution for the war

if it is really Oden, then this is an unacceptable plot hole, Oden dies in front of Kaido and his body is fried in oil, it cannot completely disappear.

It never made sense that Zoro gets Emma without proving his worth to wield it.
Oden will use Emma then give it back to Zoro once he loses or dies for good.

Oden actually being alive will prove once again that :
Zoro is way far from Oden in Power
Luffy isn't there yet to solo a Yonko
Without a top tier inference, Kaido can't lose...

How could it even be young Oden after giving Toki 2 swords and before the boiling execution tho? For it to happen, Oden and Toki must have decided that "yeah fuck ENma and Habakiri, i'm gonna leave my 2 best swords and find some random ass Swords and go the the 20 years future where Kaidou might or might not get even stronger now"
