It's not stupid if she awakened her DF.

She just jumped into the timeline where Oden was still alive and bring him here.

His appearance might not be permanent. Using shonen logic Oda would sent him back to his timeline after war is over.

It's not about stupid or not.

Just showing you that possibility like this exist because of that idiotic fruit. It's not like I want it. U get it.
People doing like it could a big deal and beeing a the worst thing ever, but they actually don´t even give that a chance. If Oda can explain it enough and make it like Seth said, of all options, it would be the best one. In that case Oden would still stay dead, but for the war he helping, what is wrong with that point. So many mangaka use timetravel stuff and not end bad with it, we had in Naruto edo tensei, we had in Bleach a zombie army, we had in fairy tail multiple timetravel stuff, hell in Hxh even their is a chance to save someone who was dead, lot of mangas had such stuff.

In the end Oden will stay death.

Fake, and I’m of the belief he’s Onimaru coming to lead the Scabbards to safety/get them back into the action in a way that they can have a bigger impact than they did against Kaido. I do like the older Momonosuke theory, but it would get REAL messy if it was true. Either way, the only outcome that would be truly shitty is if it’s really Oden...the flashback really made a lot of people in the fandom think less of him for myriad reasons, but if Oda still wants us to be as enamored with the samurai and the sacrifices he made as everyone in the actual story, coming back to life after a tragic end to an undignified life is the worst way to do it. Toki deserves to be revived and given more focus than her husband.

I read that theory. It’s stupid

We aren’t doing multiverse nonsense

Jeez I’m getting WandaVision theory flashbacks

@Master OF Haki
It’s a false death... If we saw Sabo laid out in the water actually dead like how we saw Oden sinking into the Oil then it would be something
My point was that in both cases Oda did not bring a dead character back through resurrection or something like that. We just found out that Sabo wasn't dead.

again, like I said many times, I also don't believe that it's the real Oden, but for love of God stop pretending that Oda wouldn't do something like that.

Oden shows up to the roof. Kaido gets PTSD. Luffy gets Gear 7 and we have happy alabasta ending.

Why was Luffy ignoring Ace's burning Vivre card bad writing?
Because given all the information he had at that point Ace could've been literally dying for all he knew and he chose to leave it to Ace on his own, if Luffy's characterization was going to be that whatever happens to Ace his journey is his own then perhaps I would accept it but that also wasn't the case since he didn't ignore the execution notice despite being aware that Ace's powerful crew would likely take action which is way more info than he had when he just thought Ace was on his own and his card was burning.

Voted real Oden....
My most likely scenario is he survived the execution by some method and he's just there by leaping into future with Toki!

A very great twist would be it's really Oden but he's not alive... and Scabbards are actually dead so now they can see him in afterlife... and Oda can actually write a very emotional dialog... for example a nice scenario would be like:

- They all jump on Oden hugging him...etc... then they see Toki... and they have an extatic dialog with each other... then Oden tells them to follow him... they take a shortcut to the rooftop, while Oda throws a small hint that some soldiers passed and they did not see them.... Some of scabbards get skeptical about it...

They reach the rooftop, see Kaido/Big Mom vs Supernova

Kinemon and co say they will get help Mugiwara... but then Oden stops them, he tells them "you've done enough, I'm proud of you"... then we hear someone who's sitting on the corner watching the fight say "oh, so you've come to join... huh"
This is actually Yasui!

Scabbards are confused... what's happening, Yasui sama is alive? But we need to help Mugiwara too... Oden tells them that they are souls now, dead wandering... and also says "I am really proud of you guys for bringing such a group, but let's leave it up to them"

Toki picks a shamisan, starts to play the music of war
We see a figure with Sihlouette but his hair looks like "Shimutsuki Ryuuma" who also is watching the battle on the sides...

Oden: "now, let's see how this war will unfold" while smiling while ending that act on the biggest of high notes!

-Red Scabbards dead
- confirming Toki and Oden to be dead
- Ryuuma sihlouette is there, his flashback is coming soon while watching Zoro's fight.
- End of act 3

Or my theory that Toki use her power on the Oden who was in the cell, she teleport him 20years into the future(probably days before the raid start) and he vanished or co back when the certain timelimit end.
Like a hourglass, Oden can only stay for a certain time in the future and must go back:
This is exactly what I was thinking. It would allow Oda to curb the power of Toki’s fruit so that it’s not true, unrestricted, time travel. It explains why oden and Toki seemed to know what would follow in the far future with too much detail. The time limit could be short enough that oden gets forced back to the past before interfering too much in the battle.

I hate the idea of time travel even more than I do odens character so this seems like a plot device that’s nothing but bad but unfortunately everything fits.

But we still have the same problem. One piece is about inherited will. Right now the will of Oden to destroy Kaido. Bringing Oden back in the fight would throw the will stuff to the garbage.

Cool theory but I don't see that happening mostly because Luffy went to check the scabbards when he reached the top. Of the scabbards were dead Luffy would've said something.

The thing is that we just know one ability of Toki power, but she could have so much more abilities, Oda could explain such a move later.
Let be honest the Sn at the rooftop aren´t looking good to win against Kaido so far, they need help for sure. And if we even though the point of Kaido having awakening... It make it almost impossible.
Oda rush Kaido vs Oden, as he don´t want to spoil much about their power, it could be explaiin why he do it in chapter 970.
This time without tricks and a fair battle where Kaido win, but Oden nerf him hard enough for the Sn to win.
That is at least my though.
