I know it has a lot to do with youtubers almost all of them seem to think shanks is stronger then Mihawk and they are influencers so most people will just follow their lead, but why did most of them just huddle around this thought? I used to be shanks>Mihawk to until I thought about It for more then 5 minutes, so how did a ridiculous notion get so popular? Not trolling rn I’m genuinely curious how this happened.

These illiterate Youtubers thought the WSS title had no factual basis up until Zoro started to accumulate feats and other upcoming foreshadowed ones that would shit on most of the commanders as time goes by, that's when Shanks stans started the whole new coping mechanism "Advanced CoC" to get rid of the swordsman argument when they acknowledged its threat.

I don't see why Shanks being inferior to Mihawk damages Shanks' portrayal when the only person alive that could convincingly defeat Mihawk is Kaido. Shanks fans shouldn't be greedy with the wank, be happy with the 3rd or 4th place.

First his haki has to bloom to advance levels then he can train and master it.

Cry all you want, its obvious CoC will also have an advanced level.
