I think that every SH would do the same thing and die for Luffy but Zoro was highlighted for a reason. He’s Luffys first mate and there will always be a special kind of loyalty. It’s not to wank Zoro, it’s part of his character like in Water Seven.

But the main reason Kuma gave Zoro a small portion of Luffy's pain first was for the audience to get an idea of how much pain there truly is in that big bubble.
Then seeing Zoro scream in pain and thinking "if only this small part already makes him scream like this , then how bad must the whole bubble be?! Oh no, will he survive this?!?!"

After all, Oda didn't show Zoro enduring the big bubble itself. Since this is a kid's manga.
