Pretty straightforward , Oda has golden cards he can use for a boost of sales and viewership by killing one of the popular characters


Imo every character that isn't a SH that's in the top 10/15 list should die just like Ace so who dies first

- Law

- Shanks

- Sabo

- Hancock



I personally hope they all die so One Piece could get a boost of sales each time and surpass Superman before it ends

Story wise there's tons of reasons for them to die especially Shanks obviously


Commercial wise it will be an insane boost in popularity if any of them die so i hope oda murder all of them

I don't think Shanks needs to die by the hands of BB so that luffy has a reason to fight him. He is already in luffy's eyes the one resposable with Ace death. As for the others I really think there are no reasons. What are the reasons you think they need to die story wise?

I actually don't see Hancock dying (though I don't really like her and would be indifferent if that happened). Sabo dying seems like something possible post-Wano or near the Final War but his role so far has been replacing Ace so maybe he'll stick around and accomplish a lot and make it through the series.

I don't expect Law to die until near the end of the series (last arc) but maybe something unexpected will happen and he comes to an unfortunate end before finding out about the "D". Shanks could die against Blackbeard or not. We'll see, I'd expect Shanks or Sabo to drop first but there's a good chance that they all make it till the end.

I see. I think it's quite more probable than not intuitively wise. But Oda also doesn't necessarily think linearly at all. Debatable.
