Funny, it was suggested to me that Kid was an incompentent character based on how Kid got his ass kicked and jailed back in Chapter 824. But now, I think it has less to do with Kid being incompetent and more to do with him working alongside people that aren’t Hawkins and Apoo, because Kid seems to be getting along pretty well working alongside Luffy, Zoro, and Law all things considered.
Still... Oda's editor was recently caught using hentai websites lol. I'm telling you dude. Oda is sending a message to his friends in prison.

Zoro is just an absolute monster. That term gets thrown around too much but it's not used lightly when it comes to him. This guy briefly halted an attack that could decimate an island, that is one of the best displays of physical strength in this entire manga, if not the best.
Kidd tanked that punch from Big Mom like a boss, sent her packing. Kidd and Law working together was wholesome af, Kidd asked Law to shambles Big Mom, got his answer (which was a no), and went right to work building a mini jail for Zeus lmfao. Also Law has been irreplaceable in this battle like predicted, not only is he taking the least amount of damage, he's the key solution to a majority of their problems.

Luffy and Zoro will happily do something even it means there is a 0.000001% chance of success, which is why they work well with people like Kidd. Law was a bit skeptical at Punk Hazard but after Dressrosa he's become a risktaker too.
