You didn't go into this arc expecting Sanji vs King........or any 1st commander. So idk why you gonna act all disappointed if he doesnt fight one now......When we saw King and Queen we expected Sanji to fight Queen. But then the Anime adds some stuff and Sanji and King clash now all of sudden things have changed.
Because of pacing, buddy.
This back and forth, teasing 10 times things under the roof, then going to the roof and actually moving shit foward there, is a complete mess.
Also, making the gap between the enemies so huge, completely negates the importance of the "subordinates". Oda TRIED to make them appealing still by adding that CP0 moment when he said they needed to defeat the executives or lose the war, but Kaido feels SO above all of them, that who cares if they beat the executives? The only one who represents a real threat right there is Kaido and Big Mom. Freaking King and Queen were held by a solo Marco. I might like these characters, but I'm not gonna say "they are a threat" when Oda doesn't do the minimal effort to make them look the part.
When >>>>>>I<<<<<<< say I want to see a "sanji vs king", it's pure for how cool it could look. Not taking into consideration power scaling or whatever. I also said before that I wanted Zoro to stay on the roof not to "get him out of the way", but because if Oda decided to put him there, why the fuck pull him out now? That's dumb. That's useless development. Why? So he could "awaken CoC"? He only could do that with Kaido? Couldn't Oda simply make the Calamities strong enough to make him achieve the same shit instead? No. We waste time on pointless fights that doesn't do shit, to, in the end, go back to same old Luffy vs Main Baddie 1v1 that could have been the case from the get go.
And lets not forget the DRAG that was the stairs climbing, only for CONVENIENTLY make Luffy reach the roof on chapter 1000 for a freaking ass milestone.
You wanna look at all this and say everything is fine? Be my guest. But if I dont like something, I will say that I dont like it and will also say WHY I dont like it.
This raid is G-A-R-B-A-G-E. They only thing "good" about it it's "hype moments". These moments are cool. I like them. But these are not what made me follow this story for this long. :kayneshrug:

1)Sanji never got the doctor of the crew, queen is the doctor. and law and chopper, marco are doctors that stop the plague of queen

2) judge is popular in world, you don't need to be sanji's match this arc to know him. bm herself had entire arc dedicated to captuing judge and his inventions. was bm sanji's 1vs1 battle now or ever? ROFL

3) queen only contact page1 to send him after sanji because kyoshiro was busy or else kyoshiro had more reasons since sanji beat up his family.

When the Opponents are tough an arc typically gets dragged out, The gap between Luffy and his opponents is the biggest its ever been in the series, So extra things had to be done for Kaidos defeat to be justifiable. `Training in Udon, The scabbards vs Kaido chapters, the Rooftop chapters with the 5 supernova. These things had to happen. For us to get to this 1v1 point. Oda usually likes the strongest subordinates so Sanji and other character stalled makes sense but I will say the People fighting Tobi Roppo are being done dirty by Oda most definitely. We could have focused on Tobi Roppo fights a lot in these back and forth chapters.

Yeah. So useful that, in the end, it all comes down to "coating yourself in CoC".
Yes. Very useful training before. Let's not forget that Luffy didn't train for it. He simply "understood everything".
LMAO.
Come on, man. You can be hyped about that fights and all, but trying to justify the narrative of Wano is REALLY a stretch.
Wano is, narratively speaking, the worst arc in One Piece. Only thing going for it it's "hype moments". :kayneshrug:

Narratively yea, it definitely the worst arc And its honestly only going to be remembered for hype. If I'm being honest. Which kind of sucks. But I want to see what the end result of all these pretty panels is.

I still have HUGE hopes for the "post fight" moment. Which is usually when we get some cool lore things, prep for the next arc, etc.
Considering the sheer amount of things connecting Wano to the end game, it might be enough for me to like it again.
So I'm totally open-minded about that.

1. "Contact Queen Have Him send a Heavy "
The literal first chapter Sanji gets a moment in Wano, Queen is mentioned. He's the one who sent the Tobi Roppo after Sanji. Queen is the facilitator of the Soba Mask Plot point. Sanji's 1st plot point in the Wano arc.

2. Quirky Nature of Sanjis Opponents in One Piece.

Characters Defeated by Sanji in One Piece typically have a very quirky/gagish Personality/Appearance. Usually Pretty ugly as well.

Queen honestly fits right in with these characters. This is not a bad thing I'm just pointing out consistencies/patterns throughout the series.

Ironically Queen and Sanji cried over Komurasaki as well. Makes you wonder if there may be some future plot point between the 2. involving Hiyori.

3. Vinsmoke Judge...

Another instance of Oda connecting Queen to Sanji, this time in the form of Vinsmoke Judge. Not only did queen start the soba mask plot line that involved sanji using his raid suit from his vinsmoke family now Oda is implying Queen knows Vinsmoke Judge in some way.

4. Enies Lobby 2.0
Onigashima is playing out like Enies Lobby for Sanji
Sanji in Enies Lobby lost to Khalifa and had to have Nami bail him out afterwords he went on to defeat Jabra 3rd strongest in CP9 Mid Diff, and opened the gates of justice.
Similarly Sanji lost to Black Maria and had to have Robin bail him out, he's likely going to defeat the 3rd strongest in Kaidos Crew, Queen Mid Diff and do some clutch save afterwards.

5. The Difference in Speed

Historically theres always been a disgusting difference in Speed between Sanji and opponents he defeats. Why? Because Speed it how Sanji operates, its probably Sanjis biggest attribute as a combatant. If Sanji doesn't have the speed advantage he usually does not win. Dont see Sanji being able to out speed King enough for it to matter in a fight and Jack is already taken, that leaves Queen.......

6. Big Mom....

This is one may be controversial but there is some truth to it.......hear me out.
Queen and Sanji both had to subdue Big Mom in order to save their comrades. It almost mirrors Sanjis situation, where they had to briefly knock out Big Mom and take her else where to prevent her from destroying everyone.
Ironically Both Queen and Sanji mention a ship.....

We see Queens Ship and what does it say? "Q 03".....

7. X Drake

Sanji and Queen have connections to X Drake.

X Drake is the one Queen sent after Sanji and has pursued Sanji on multiple Occasions .

Ironically Drake also has a connection to Queen as well.

also Ironically both Drake and Queen know about The Vinsmokes which leads me to my next point.

8. The North Remembers

Out of the 4 people who have mentioned Sanji and the Germa in the Wano Arc. 2 of them are currently allies being X Drake and Law, Hawkins being an unknown entity who could change sides any time, So Queen is really the only one who has mentioned the Vinsmokes thats an actual threat to the alliance.

I think Law, X Drake and potentially Hawkins, will witness Sanji fight against Queen.
And Comment on his Stealth Black abilities. Yes I think Sanjis fight will have an audience of some sort....

This may have been foreshadowed In Sanjis Soba Mask chapter. When Law says everyone from the north blue knows.

9. History
Finally The most obvious one that people hate , but its just fact. Queen is 3rd strongest in the Beast Pirates, Sanji is 3rd strongest in the Strawhats. Its likely going to happen just because of that fact. Theres no need to complicate that shit.......We know how this shit works in arcs like these. Wano has the long Build up Alabasta had and the 2 island structure Water7/Enies Lobby had. Both arcs in which our Cook fought the 3rd. And theres nothing wrong with that.

Sanji & Chopper vs Queen, let's fucking GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

This arc is fundamentally different from all others. Zoro isn’t getting a 1 v 1 fight since he used all his strength already. So who’s going to fight king if not Sanji?

Marco? No Sanji wouldn’t fight either calamity until Marco is defeated
"This arc is fundamentally different"
"B-but uhhh sanji would still have his 1v1 fight! Sanji has to!"
Candyboys and their flip flop argument :kayneshrug:
