Current Zoro may not be capable to solo Shanks, but he has proven to more likely stand robustly close than not. Right now I would bet on Zoro to give Shanks a hell of a fight. Although Mihawk can possibly stand rather above Shanks, I'm still skeptical about mid difficulty, letting alone low.

Zoro will have to attain the black blade(s) which will most likely attain.

Probably strenghten his CoC and CoA. CoO too possibly. Maybe physical power and other base stats again.

Overall I don't see that much that Zoro may necessitate to work on to get to Mihawk's level at this stage and why not surpass. Not really a gargantuan work probably.

It was performed by Kaido's strongest form, automatically stronger than the one that hit Luffy.
Look at the haki leak when it is facing Zoro and Law, more leakage than Roger+WB scene.
And then there is common sense, stronger attacks are required to take out stronger people.
