Usually rivals in shonen are friendlier, like Bakugo in MHA and Sasuke for most of Naruto

Nah, Zoro is considered as the Sasuke or Vegeta of OP.
You should understand what rival means first. It's a character who is challenging/ competing with another for an objective which is to become the pirate king.
BB is definitely Luffy's rival. You can't deny a fact man.

Dude you need reading courses. Instead of Blackbeard acknowledging his status, he says the Fifth Emperor is too early for him. Which Rival says that? There is no rivalry in it especially as Teach and Shanks have a better rivalry than Luffy (Shanks and Teach are in Whitebeard and Roger crew respectively, fought as a child, injured Shanks) and Blackbeard than Teach's. don't care.
