What is so great about taking down this dude who was already expiring by natural causes? All Lakainu did was to speed up an already late stage process. As Kom5 wrote, WB could use COO to sense Oden from a huge distance away but failed to do the same with Squardo stabbing him, an elementary skill as it relates to haki that he could not access owing to his crippling condition.
Akainu was babyshaked by this version of WB. Shanks had already stopped Kaido, from what we can gather the Red Hair Pirates would also have been weary from this engagement, but still went to stop the war. Shanks came, he saw, he evaporated Akainu's soul and bravery into the ether, so much so that Dobberman looked at that and said "shit, Akainu is so broken he ain't gonna do shit, I need to say something"

Vergo is always the mogger, he is not afraid like Akainu. Even if Shanks has extremely powerful CoC that can overwhelm the will of even the stronger willed, it only affects the weak willed among the stronger willed, while the truly strong willed remain
Vice admirals are I think pretty close to admirals in power, ie vice admirals like Momonga, Onigumo, Dobberman. After all that's how a Buster Call can be said to be so devestating, lead by 5 vice admirals
