It was obvious when Oda made WB BM kaido all in the same crew, all 3 started being famous 33 yeats ago at the same time.
Their current Commanders were still rookies back then. ESPECIALLY Kaido took years to reach Yonko level after BM and WB and his crew were not hyped.
BM at least has her family called the strongest
WB crew never had been called strongest nor did they have that hype.

It was WB ~ Roger, Oden ~ Rayleigh , the rest of roge pirates had advantage.
When Oden left. WB crew became even way weaker.
There is a reason why they say WB equalled Roger not WB pirates equalled Roger pirates .

Marco Willpower was never great... as a rookie he cant even survive CoC blast that much, this is why he quit piracy after losing badly. Even chopper could survive BM CoC.

I forgot THIS CHAPTER KILLED : MARCO WAS FIRSTMATE, MARCO WAS OFFICIAL RIGHT HAND (HE WASN'T, THE PEOPLE SAW HIM AS ONE BUT OFFICILALY WB NEVER CALLED ONE OF HIS SONS RH), MARCO WAS VC, MARCO IS SPECIAL LOL NO COC NO STRENGHT HIGHLIGHTED AS DOFFY EVEN.

Also Kawamatsu spent the least amount of time with Oden from the looks of it (since Neko and Inu went with Oden to WB and Roger's crews). Makes his devotion in the chapter with Onimaru even more impactful for me.

I really hope orochi gets eaten by mountain god jr for poisoning Oden father, killing Yasuie (rest in Piece you golden savior) and betraying wano at whole.

This chapter clearly tell us that:

1. Kinemon = Ashura Douji

i was afraid last week with oda skippin scabbard's development when they are building udon makes thw scabbard less developed

glad we have more of them in this chapter. because the whole wano arc will fail if we dont feel the scabbard's affection to oden.

Now that all the scabbards flashback are complete, its hard for me to see one of them as a traitor.

Oda should draw the sky clashing to prove Oden is in a Yonkou level just like other Yonkou-level fights, the hype would be greater. Or he isn't in that level yet.

The vibes Marco being an apprentice in WB pirates feels like Shanks and Buggy in OJ. Next chapter we probably see WB, Oden and Roger crews met.

The pace of the flashback is so fast. It looks like the latest news that Naito-san said about OP ending in 5 years can be true. This kind of news make me sad already. :'(

Good chapter. We see again that oden has a good heart when he saves neko, inu and kawamatsu. I do hope that whitebeard will kick his ass a lil bit before accepting to take him in.
From the look of it it also seems orochi poisoned oden's dad or did something that accelerated his death.
Looking forward to the next chapter of oden wanking.

Incredible good chapter.
The whole build up with Oden saving Neko,Inu and Kawa who join him. And how all Guardians teach each other to rise as great samurai to protect Oden, that is what I want to read in the flashback, really really good

Sadly for Oden father who probably going die in the next chapters, Orochi the snitch really need to get stomped for what he did, im sure he did it to Oden aswell. @Pantheos is right he should get eaten by the Mountain God Jr.

And the godly last page where we see the Whitebeard pirates, alone seeing Primebeard and his young crew let me fucking fanboying about this chapter. And how great Whitebeard CoO was back then, he was really nerfed at the Marineford seeing how he can sense far away a strong guy.
His clash with Oden was insand good, the shockwave sends guys around them into the air.

I looking forward for the next chapter, but this one was really amazing.
