Questions & Mysteries Did Orochi kill Oden's father?

#1
I don't know if anyone have asked the question yet so I made a thread out of it. In the last chapter we learn that Oden's father was said to be ill, but we see that that his health is not that bad, yet he will die before the return of oden.
We also see that orochi seems to be working under the kozuki now (he could be bringing food, serving drinks), so maybe he poisoned oden's father and that was the moment when his health started to deteriorate.
What do you guys think about it? Was it natural death or was it part of orochi's grand scheme?

This panel certainly seems to hint that. Sukiyaki and Oden's final meeting, Sukiyaki in poor health, and Orochi just happens to be present.

Orochi is a born treacherous snake, his best weapon is his venom. It wouldn't surprise me if he slowly poisoned Sukiyaki to make his illness seem natural. As a servant of the Shogun wearing the Kozuki badge, he would be in a perfect position to carry out such a scheme.

Also follows that historical parallel with Akechi Mitsuhide who betrayed and killed the Shogun then went after his sons.

Also we have no sign of mistreatment from oden or his father against orochi, on the contrary they seemed good to him. So he really is just evil.
So far we have no clue of who could be the traitor and be his accomplice and the further we go the less likely it seems to be one of the scabbards.
