If I recall correctly Drago hid the wincons for indies in the FMA game. Imma have to double check but I remember something about the indies being discussed and if they were in the game, unless I am completely misremembering.

Yeah that's my thought. 6 of them being mafia just seems so heavy and I don't think there are indies in this game otherwise my wincon would be like eliminate all threats to town, not just eliminate the akatsuki. But I could be wrong and some of the akatsuki could be indie?

There's a reason why hosts don't encourage that. For example in the MF game my team could role crush a player permanently if he claimed in the thread. Or super kill a player who claimed in the thread. Death note mechanics are often used to punish that.

it wouldn't be used as fake claims but mostly to throw town off on speculating what mafia abilities would be. That's my guess.

Kue's list was open set up but its like "one of these roles are guaranteed to be in the game" for each category

And that was a Drago game too, if i remember the FMAB game had Mafia unlocking a second kill or something if someone claimed.

And in Shrike's game on NF, they instantly killed Flower who claimed Naruto.
