In the manga, there aren't really any clear examples of Sanji blackening his legs whereas the anime has some. The Daifuku and Drake incidents might've just been the shading honestly. Against Judge, we also can't tell if he blackens since his pants were already black. I don't think Sanji has used it yet (though the Daifuku one seems like it might've been it). We'll see if Oda draws it clearly this arc.

Here's the reason I won't argue with this. If I bring up examples showing Oda can draw Sanji tiny without shading, they'll say "reaching and zooming." If I say, "It's the exact same pose he did for Luffy with the same haki sound effect", they'll say doesn't mean anything, "the anime shows its haki", lol "filler". Litrally use some common snse, nothing is being filled in. Sanji with or withot Haki in that scene is the exact same time.
Anyway, argue with yourselves.

I'm not even strongly against it being blackening. I'm just saying I'm not 100% sure. I'm not trying to argue because it doesn't matter too much. Whether Sanji blocked that blade with blackening or not, he still blocked it. Against Drake, he barely kicks him but I guess it could've also been koka. I even say that the Daifuku one might've been, just saying Oda hasn't been as clear with Sanji using it as he has with Luffy and Zoro so there being an argument is understandable.

Because FIRE casts a shadow. Now people are invoking shading on everything and anything, even when there is no reason for there to be a shadow there.
Here's a different question. If you don;t believe Sanji was using hardening on that scene, how would he look in the panel if he was?

Yeah. And tbh it's dumb that people are trying to drag Sanji for carrying him because it's what he always does for Luffy. It's what any of them would do for each other.
