They were going to have a final clash(sort of reminiscent of fights like Luffy vs Katakuri, Luffy vs Crocodile sort of finishing clash), but Oden got distracted.

Kaido got up, him and Oden rushed with their attacks to each other, then incame old hag allowing Kaido to have a free hit on Oden ending the battle.
