Luffy gonna 1v1 or at least 2v1 Kaido with some of Yamato's help (mainly emotional) but obviously it wasn't gonna happen without any twist such as this. Would've been way too anti-climatic. Have to create some sort of tension even if it's fake. And ZKK is still a possibility.

Well it seems that the reverse Sabaody order theory is dead?... This was looking to be Nami's chapter with her potentially using Zeus to take out Ulti but it seems BM did the work for her.

Mihawk >= Current Luffy. The matchup advantage for Mihawk just makes it worse. Post-Wano Luffy will definitely at least be on par tho, especially if gets some massive upgrades.
