Sanji's haki is not hyped, this wasn't a hype. Unfortunately Sanji never showed to have strong haki, he had his leg broken when Vergo kicked him. He couldn't do much damage to Luffy and Luffy wasn't even using haki to defend himself but Sanji attacked him with everything he had even diable jambe.
I want Sanji to be strong, but no one ever showed to be hurt when attacking someone that only defended with haki.

Sure Sanji is superior to Zoro
Of course he is
He faced strongest man in history and beyond (as time is relative) of every Universe with only one broken bones
Where as Zoros best feat is only permanently damaging strongest character Alive with 30 broken bones
He puts up a barrier haki for (according to Kid) just a second or more which breaks 30 bones just from the sheer effort alone. Only reason Zoro could fight Kaido is because he uses adCoC vs base Kaido. AdCoC bridges any physical gap. Even base Luffy fights Kaido now thanks to adCoC. But in base wihtout adCoC and haki Sanji is still stronger than Zoro as shown by their performance against gifters. Sanji is a physcially stronger combattant
