ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1013: THE ANARCHY IN THE BM

Funny, sad, hyping up and crushing hope. Up and down this chapter.
First BM pulls of the Laser attack, a nice reference to the Godzilla-Movies. Highly appreciated here!
Then Zeus came up, Nami could have been a bit less harsh so, he was so cute in the corner. Poor little cloud. Now he got eaten, but it was a great moment how he grew an own character and will, despite being part of big mum. It seems like he was part of her younger, childish soul. But hey, when he got eaten, Hera had Namis weapon in her slutty mouth too, maybe Zeus was just sucked in and is saved? At least partly?
And then he comes, matching the punk rock song in the title, the man himself, Eustass Captain Kid! Overpowering big mum strength wise instantly and puts her on her place, on the ground, face into the dust. Obey the captain old hag, as long as you are able to!
Luffy is just a cliffhanger here, he will be back up either next chapter, or after the majority of the downstair fights.

Ugh, two weeks of “the raid will fail!!!!” incoming
Not much to really talk about, the two dino siblings will get back up but are damaged enough that Nami and Usopp can beat them. Zeus will survive somehow and end up with Nami. The Tama/Big Mom thing is still consistently sound if you reread Big Mom’s flashback.
Kaido’s giving us one of those “is there really an interesting character hidden deep down after all” moments. Seems like he beat Luffy, tossed him off the rooftop and then regretted it because he should have thrown his dead body in front of everyone to break their spirits? Which is pretty hardcore.
Momo I think should be the one to save Luffy, since he’s the one who has been “hearing” him and Kaido fight. And his story arc is all about hin overcoming his uselessness. Him controlling his power, conquering his fear of heights and saving Luffy would fit that.
Or Yamato if she can fly with her transformation. She’s heading to fight Kaido now anyway since Luffy’s out for a bit.
