@stairs-kun @Salah WG Also unless I'm missing something, every Strawhat are either the best or second best in their roles in the world. But the haters want us to believe 10+ or so (talking his prime or EoS) people are stronger than the combatant of the crew and that Sanji is ranked just behind Zoro AT WORST

Luffy on paper is a total beast and you can understand what Garp thought he'd become. But like Law, that's on paper. Luffy:
+ Outstanding in hand to hand. He can get the better of highly trained fighters like Blueno or an extremely well rounded combatant like Doflamingo without the training or experience they have. Lucci was a notch better, but he's also a dedicated genius. At this point I'm not sure anyone but maybe Garp, Sengoku, and Sentomaru have the hands to go against Luffy.
+ Monster genetics. Pound for pound Luffy might already be the physically strongest, even if his powers also help with that.
+ Magical immunity to blunt force and electric (minks, Ener, Big Mom) combined with the overall durability of rubber. He also negates any size disadvantage by virtue of stretching.
+ A great aptitude for learning. When he does put in work it pays off as well as possible. Extremely well rounded Haki skills
+ A fearless disposition. He'll pretty much never lose to his own uncertainty and won't allow defeat to keep him down
- he's reckless and cocky. He'll lose to his own impulses. Because defeat rarely ever matters, he's not all that inclined to grow from it and fight to avoid it. This primary flaw is bigger than any one positive trait because it can undo his progress. He'll get slept by guys he should beat: Observation failed against Caesar and Apoo, CoA alone doesn't beat anyone too strong. This very chapter Kaido explicitly calls him on getting ahead of himself and it's his whole approach to life in a nutshell.
Whereas Zoro is the beauty of fundamentals. Well honed skill, well rounded Haki, solid tactician with a good mindset in combat. There are probably more fight match ups Luffy wins because he fights like a kangaroo on steroids (with the privilege of magical and learned immunities such as his poison resistance) but Zoro is far less likely to lose in fights where he can win.
