Didn't the princess trope start with ViVi and the Baroque Works Saga?

This isn't directed at you @Charlotte Sky but I see so many complaints about Post Time skip One Piece that I wonder how many readers binged the Pre Time skip arcs and then became weekly readers during the Post Time skip?

Oda figured out early on what his formula is. He has been quite consistent with it. I do think discussing theories and head canons while waiting for a weekly chapter impact people's enjoyment, especially when head canons don't come to fruition.

For my own sake, I wish he would have less characters per arc. I should try harder to keep track of them all but I won't.

FALSE for like the thousand time. Yall repeat the same stupid talking point every time someone criticizes post time skip One Piece i.e. it is weekly maybe you should binge it blah blah blah. Sabody Archipalgo, Amazon Lily, Impel Down, Marine Ford and Ace/Luffy flashback COMBINED took less time than Wano alone. THREE of the longest arcs in One Piece happened POST TIME SKIP! It is FACT that arcs has been getting longer and longer with more filler content. That is not debatable. Just look at what Oda did with Luffy before chapter 1000 running up a freaking roof for how many chapters? And yet here yall are continuing this stupid talking point about it being a 'weekly chapter'. No one was complaining about Reverie. No one was complaining about Zou. Why? Because those got to the freaking point instead of Oda continuing to add filler content.

Imagine if pre time skip had an island + raid arc that was 115+chapters, now remember it did.

Personally, I do think Pre Time skip was better. Since Oda did such a good job developing the Strawhats. Now he is showing more development to the characters on the New World islands and the other members of the Worst Generation. Let's be real this manga has been going on since 1997. It is kind of too late to think that Kidd, Law, or any of the Supernovas have any chance of becoming the Pirate King.

Also wasn't the Baroque Works Saga considerably long for Pre Time Skip One Piece? Were people complaining about why the Strawhats were at Little Garden or Drum Island instead of Alabasta?

Also Luffy is always getting stuck somewhere or running around before a fight. He was trapped in a rock/pool during Arlong Park, swallowed by a snake during Skypeia, stuck between two buildings during Water 7, and running around in the Seducing Woods during WCI to name a few. He will probably run around at Laugh Tale or get stuck somewhere.

My argument stands that Oda has always been formulaic.

Ennies Lobby or Marineford?
Ennies Lobby for me was a bit overrated. The only thing I liked about Ennies Lobby were Robin and the Blue Prints and the dilema between Usopp and the Straw hats. Marine Ford was great.

Baroque Works Saga was just that, a saga. Wano is a single arc, not a saga and yet it is much longer in time than Baroque Works Saga and just a few chapters away from passing it. A single arc shouldn't be longer than a saga. They are called sagas for a reason. Also, I wasn't arguing about the "formulaic" statement you made, instead I was arguing about the "weekly chapter" argument.

Isn't Wano a part of the Yonko Saga? Moving on, I do agree with you that weekly Post Time skip can be draining or tiring to read. There are definitely ways that Oda can deflate the arcs of the Post Time skip. I do enjoy reading weekly chapters and watching reveals and events happen, however, I also see the argument that Post Time skip has lost its charm.
