Questions & Mysteries Why Sanji doesn’t hurt women?

#1
If you guys wanna check i made a thread why nami cant help herself to help childrends whos in need check it out!

So yeah lets get right into it. The reason sanji doesnt hurt any ladies its because of one reason! I mean literally one! Thats probably the last and only one request that zeff ask to sanji in their whole life together… and thats also the first time that sanji heard to zeff that zeff thinks sanji as his own son. Thats why this is so remarkable and memorable for sanji that he didnt forget even now because thats the first time zeff told sanji infront of him that he see’s him as his own son and second thats the first and last request that zeff ask to sanji.

So if you still dont get it zeff is not the type of man who ask others unless he likes the person, sanji knows it thats why sanji know zeff really meant it.

He doesn't hurt women so Oda can make him look like a cuckold. That moment when he told Chopper that "A real man forgives women's lies" is one of the most pathetic and sexist moments in a fucking manga industry. And should i mention his unwillingness to fight Kalifa and Black Maria? Like, if Oda just threw this aspect in a trash can, maybe i would like Sanji's character.

Imagine forgiving a woman for lying about your child being yours when it is actually from some other random guy she cheated on you with.:saden:

The answer is easier than that, it's because he is one of the main characters and he needed some unique feature (like Usopp's cowardice and lies, Franky' Super stuff, Robin gloomines, etc).

Surprise! A Zorotard taking out of context something related to Sanji so he can bash him.

Did you seriously didnt get that Sanji found Robin's lies and he was reffering exclusively to that situation? Or have all Zorotards really 13 year old mental age ?

Agreed. It's been ingrained into him and that's a result of his upbringing.

Sanji tries to be a person Zeff can be proud of as he owes Zeff a lot for everything he did for him. He knows Zeff would be disappointed in him if he kicked a woman so he can't bring himself to. He's incapable of putting his values aside as Zeff's pretty much the most important person to him.

Sora and Reiju being the only people Sanji felt he could confide in back at Germa just adds further to it but Zeff's the main thing. Sanji's belief that it's wrong for him to hit a woman are so important to him that he really isn't able to do it regardless of the situation, even when he acknowledges he should, like against Kalifa.

I expected some mentally challenged people defending his pathetic line, wanna see context? Here:
I even left another translation "Forgiving woman's lies is a man's duty" because that's just sad. But keep trying to defend him based on context and that "it's just to Robin, not to women as a whole", not that you can anyway.

Can't you see he used robin's name when he said that? Wait he didn't,''forgives a woman'' so it means women in general well i guess you're right:doffytroll::doffytroll::cheers:

I'm that type of a guy who thinks that hitting someone is the last thing you can do, be that man or woman. But if said woman punched/kicked/attacked a guy first, then said guy has every right to defend himself by punching her back, of course the same applies to a woman.
As a guy who was sparring with a woman in a boxing/karate match, i can say that women are not helpless and their attacks hurt too.

Here is your God being sexist......"She's a woman" wow wow......why does that matter Zoro?, are you saying women are weak?.
Do you get it now?....this is not a character issue, but an author issue. Oda does not like drawing men pummeling women. " Scars on the back are a swordsman shame" sounds cool right?....but isn't it pretty stupid to allow someone to slice your chest open because of a "code"....no but that's fine because its "cool". We can sit here and nitpick these characters personalities and way of life all day, just like in the real world, but you can't say with pure objectivity that this person is right or wrong.....since man is not perfect and nor are the characters we write.

The thing is that Zoro's trait never put in danger someone. Sanji's on the other hand...
And i understand that it's Oda's doing, but he's showing this through Sanji. And thank God that Zoro's line was just one-timer.
