There will be obvious elements of portrayal and future opponents they are going to get.
Like with Jimbe now fighting a Flying Six while Sanji's projected to fight Queen, in spite of all the previous wank Jimbe got for taking attacks from Akainu at MF or Big Mom in WCI.
I don't think this matters.
I don't think Zoro/Yamato/Luffy are going to exceed their Onigashima feats until EOS.
Zoro's Elbaf battle, Shiryuu, etc. don't really compare to scarring Kaido, blocking Hakai or ZKK.
Yamato is going to 1 vs 1 her father. She'll lose eventually, but given that Oda is saving her DF reveal for her father (and is barring her from getting into a protracted fight with anyone else before she fights Kaido), I'm pretty confident that it's going to be a full fledged fight and not a one sided beatdown.
There's no one stronger than Kaido that Yamato will fight till the end of the series, so it doesn't matter if she fights the weakest member of any crew they come across, as no matter what she does, she'll never surpass what she displayed vs Kaido.
Given Kaido's status in the One Piece world, it's
extremely hard to top fighting him 1 vs 1. EOS Yamato may never do so. This is why I'm sceptical of the Sanji > Yamato claims, it's just not plausible.
Not unless Oda asspulls antagonists stronger than Kaido.
Had Jimbe actually held his own against Sakazuki in a 1 vs 1, I wouldn't really care that he's fighting a Tobi Roppo, he'll still be stronger than Sanji.
If Jimbe's previous performance placed him at YC 1, and I had no reason to believe Oda retconned him, I wouldn't downgrade him just cause he was currently fighting someone weaker than him.
Zoro fought Monet at Punk Hazard while Smoker, Sanji and Law fought the much stronger Vergo in separate battles.
That's if Yamato joins, which i am not convinced will happen.
Is there any reason other than disrupting the M3 that you doubt this will happen?
