I completely forgot to mention how trash the fights are in MHA
MHA fights are way better than OP fights tho. OP fights are just DBZ fights in disguise. It’s just a contest of who hits the hardest with Devil Fruit powers basically acting as confetti to distract from how brainless the fights are.

MHA fights are some of the more intelligent fights in Shonen, with fights coming down to how different people with different quirks utilize their individual strengths to effect the outcome of fights rather than just trying to punch each other in the face repeatedly

One Piece is great.
Pre-TS One Piece. :goyea:

Post-TS One Piece. :gonope:

Regardless, One Piece (especially Post-TS) as a series is the defenition of both quantity and tediousness.

On quantity, sure Oda produces less arcs than MHA but that is because each one of his arcs is packed with as much as he can possibly shove into it, creating characters and scenarios that are wholly unnecessary and keeping characters that have served their purpose alive, just because he can.

On tediousness, I have five words.

Dressrosa, over one hundred chapters.

Oda elongates arcs for no reason. Gear 4 could have just launched that final attack to end the arc but no, we need Gatz the announcer and fodder gladiators be important for ten minutes and have Doflamingo look stupid (although to be fair, he might have suffered concussive brain damage).

WCI could have ended with BM going ape shite on her own crew thus allowing Straw Hats to escape. Instead, we get twenty chapters of Meme shouting “Wedding Cake”, everyone looking stupid and one of the worst major fights in the series.

Wano had all that Tama, Urashima and Holdem nonsense. Could have gone straight to Oden Castle but nope, Luffy’s got to one shot random fodder in utterly dull fights.

All this is not even mentioning a supposedly series spanning narrative that only has feckin hints chucked in every couple of years.
MHA is too flawed.
MHA has enough positives to be enjoyable in my opinion. I have it at around average to above average.

Mha fights are decent, they're like dumbed down easier to consume versions of HxH fights. Which can be better in some ways.

-OP fights have terrible choreography, mostly braindead, they're good for some epic moments and narratives, that's it.

-Bleach has style over substance but they look hella clean

-Pre War Naruto has the best balance of style and tactics, best of both worlds. If not HxH (for the sheer thought put into the battles), I think Naruto had the best fights from battle shounen.

He didn’t take out a priest him and luffy did stop it. Enel has maxim moving again in the chapter after that. Wow Sanji really did less then I thought
Luffy did no damage to Satori tho. Just let Sanji be able to land his attack and oneshot him. Its like saying Zoro got Orlumbuses help to defeat Pica.

I dont really remember what happened to the Maxim. But Sanji fukced it up for sure. More than what Zoro did.

They threw satoris own balls at him Sanji did nothing and like I said maxim was moving the next chapter

Kingdom fights as far as 1v1s go have the disadvantage of being more straightforward, there isn't a variety of abilities interacting. I'd say they're mostly good for epic moments rather than a wholesome "full" fight.
The beauty of them is that they are short and to the point. No 40 chapters of anyone screaming “Mingo!!” 600 times, no 30 chapters of an invincible perfect undefeated man spamming attacks on the MCs weakpoints to no effect, and then the MC learning his most advanced technique in 5 seconds with almost no explanation.

Kingdom fights are short, sweet, believable, logical, and exhilarating.

The variety in Kingdom fights comes moreso from the tactics rather than the actual fighting abilities, though there are a variety of fighting styles there too.

MHA’s start is >>>>>> KnY’s start. I haven’t gotten to the point of KnY where everyone thinks it’s the shit, but that series’ opening is boring af imo
Well, KnY starts quite normally but later it will be very interesting; if you are looking for fights with huge variety of attacks, tactics and intelligence, KnY performed it very good.
Furthermore, as I said, KnY becomes more interesting after we see the pillars and the moons (demons) - not to mention Muzan's greatness.

MHA fights are some of the more intelligent fights in Shonen, with fights coming down to how different people with different quirks utilize their individual strengths to effect the outcome of fights rather than just try
And guess which manga exactly fits this description? It is Kimetsu no Yaiba!

Bleach fights are great to look at, apart from that they usually end in similar ways. Kubo had a horrible habit of reusing the "teleports behind you" trope and have his characters attack from behind. Happens in almost every fight lol. Then you have the fact that early strategical fighting, what Ichigo displayed against Ikakku and Renji during the Soul Society, never really came up again.

But damn if the characters don't look cool doing their thing. Even if 99% of attacks that land do 0 damage.

-Pre War Naruto has the best balance of style and tactics, best of both worlds. If not HxH (for the sheer thought put into the battles), I think Naruto had the best fights from battle shounen.
Can't speak for HxH obviously but Naruto is my go to for good fights. Especially Pre Time Skip. Kimimaro making a fool of Gaara and Lee is one of my favorite moments. Same with Zabuza absolutely tricking Kakashi in their fight.

no 30 chapters of an invincible perfect undefeated man spamming attacks on the MCs weakpoints to no effect, and then the MC learning his most advanced technique in 5 seconds with almost no explanation.
Imo Snake Man vs Katakuri saved this entire fight since we got good drawings, good choreography (Snake Man tricking Katakuri's FS to land hits on him, Grilled Mochi vs Jet Culverin), Kata dancing around Black Mamba (this shit looks sick) and at last, King Cobra vs Diced Mochi) and a fast paced fight in which both characters were evenly matched.

Apart from that, we've got 30 chapters of Kata trashing the MC in which the MC suddenly had godlike endurance to endure dozens of hits on his weakpoints.
Considering that Luffy was koed from a few DJ kicks and a combined attack of two fodders when he fought for 11h against an opponent without major injuries. But against Kata, he suddenly endured an onesided beating for 9h while missing a chunk of his stomach. That's BS.
