After that she was brought to Kaido and clashed with him, then she made an alliance with Kaido, which was her plan all along. She defeated him. She succeeded.

It worked out based on pure luck (i.e. plot), not because of her own ability to achieve her desired goal.

Had she drowned (like devil fruit users are supposed to do) or had Kaido decided “Nah, let’s kill this hideous hag while she is chained is seastone.” which considering this is the man who boiled Oden alive, was not outside the realm of possibility then Linlin was extremely lucky.

Kaido is a feckin idiot. That is like praising someone for having a superior intellectual thought process compared to a brick.
