Funnily enough, I was thinking it could refer to that but also I think Sanji and Yamato have parallels too. Both have extremely abusive fathers who believe in conquest and being "stiff upper lip/hyper masculine" in their own ways.
Both Sanji and Yamato were held prisoner and neglected by their fathers because they refused to be like their fathers and wanted to be someone else, be different to their fathers as much as possible. Both of them had much more positive role models and even father figures, although I don't think Oden ever met Yamato ofc but he would have really taken care of her imo, embraced her as he did with the Scabbards and given her the love, guidance, respect, protection etc that she didn't get from Kaido.
Sanji and Yamato both had explosive handcuffs put on them by their fathers too, both of them had a sort of the "Man In the Iron Mask" vibes and both were shown to be hiding their faces, wearing masks at some point in their lives, hiding their identities for different reasons. (In Sanji's case he didn't have a choice, it was forced upon him ofc).
Sanji and Yamato have been running for a while and not encountered each other, despite the fact that Sanji would love to run into and meet Yamato. Both of them rescued and helped Momonosuke, tried to keep him safe and both can be seen as potential father figures for him or at least parental figure for Yamato, although she insists on "being Oden" ofc.
All the Straw Hats need to meet Yamato too and get to know them as well. I'm not sure how Yamato should be referred to gender wise, Twitter has literally been making it trend due to arguing about it and some people suspect Oda is avoiding Sanji meeting Yamato as it would help definite their gender by his reaction?
Kiku was supposedly clarified as identifying as female and thus female pronouns despite being male biologically, so I hope we get some kind of actual clarification on Yamato too, so we can try and end or at least nullify these arguments as much as possible.
Anyway, my point is Sanji and Yamato have some interesting parallels and I think they could actually bond over this, beyond the surface level interactions that we expect and will be inevitable. I do wonder how Yamato is gonna react to Sanji's horniness, is she gonna be like Baby 5 somewhat and be complacement to his behaviour out of naivety or even because she's fine with it and sees nothing impure in whatever he asks her to do? Or is she going to think he is a pervert too and give him free Thunder Baguas? LOL
