You’re either straw manning or people are doing a bad job presenting the problem.

One of the main criticisms of the last 200 or so One Piece chapters is that there has been relatively no tension. Chopper having literal senzu beans at his disposal does not help the case.

Add in that it has no subtle or specific build up and this really feels like an ipso-facto excuse to get Zoro back in the battle

Chopper healing Zoro was a given from the moment Zoro said to take them to the main floor. What else were you guys expecting Chopper to do? Set his bones, throw a cast on him, and tell him to wait it out?

This is Choppers role in the crew. This medicine has never been used before, because the opportunity to use it has not yet presented itself. This is the moment that the medicine is needed, and therefore being used. When else is it supposed to be used?

Marco is about to lose to King and Zoro will need to save him and take over.
