Lol Hawkins could literally prepare two dolls, one for Kaido and one for Big Mom, eat two Hakais and heavily damage both of them, but instead he's fighting someone who's eventually going to die in this war. That's because Oda's not able to handle hax abilities unfortunately.

like what happened to law, oda's gonna introduce limits on this hax. i guess with decent haki you can prevent hawkins from preparing dolls using you (like how law can only tp people lesser than a certain haki threshold in his room). the only people he has prepared dolls for are fodders and law's crew. else hawkins will be absolutely broken which is clearly not the case.

Against Marco yes, but i'm pretty sure he could've stopped Sanji from saving Momo, he could've reacted better against the Scabbards. Overall Katakuri just seems more competent than King, and i'm not even talking about power scaling to be honest.

Then who's going to defeat him? Marco started the fight nerfed, while fighting Queen too and while sharing his flames to fodders, hence his regeneration - his best assest - is nerfed.

This seems exactly the set up for a underdog winning against impossible odds. The only thing lacking is to King to have an higher bounty than Marco

He wasn't focused on the picture or even close to that, he was focusing on the chaos happening all aroud him. King was right beside Momo when Sanji showed up, and he was posted there to guard the kid, it was his objective. Katakuri's mission wasn't protecting the picture.

Also remember that Wano was Planned before OP Started & at the time Oda never thought about Supernova, they were only added Decade later, so at first there were no Law & Kid Alliance, there were no Hawkins, Apoo & Drake among Beasts Pirates

This is why Oda added Big Mom to Wano so that she takes on the Additional Characters he made (Kid & Law)
And then made Other Supernova Fight each other (Drake & Killer vs Hawkins & Apoo), this way he perfectly preserves his Original Wano Scenario

So when we remove BM & Supernova from the Equation, what is Oda's Original Roof Battle????
It's obviously Luffy + Zoro vs Kaido (And possibly Yamato & Momo join too)

Still Law could use Gamma knife on Kaido, which is way more broken than Shambles cause it destroys one's internals, so Oda puts limits randomly ahahah
And don't forget that Hawkins has a card with the power to make one exceed his own limits, so straw dolls on Yonko?
