Zoro overshadowed Sanji in Baratie. He faced an EOS top tier early on in the series. Sanji had so many moments during Baratie (backstory with Zeff, feeding Gin, and sharing his dream of finding the All Blue). However, Zoro vs Mihawk is probably one of the first hype moments in One Piece because we learn just how serious the grand line is. Zoro may not have two arcs dedicated to him, but Oda sure can utilize him well.

It's not for the image in itself but what entails. There's a deep significance as Sanji is desperate looking to return to the SHs despite all the things he did.
Sure he was craving to make sure Zeff would not die and that's noble and still when Luffy acknowledged that Ace was in danger he preferred to trust him and simply stick to his nakama, that was a demonstration of strong will in that keeping his dream to become PK even more alive without even taking a deviation under such critical circumstance, good or not. In this case Sanji patently preferred to stick his neck out of the crew instead of trusting it more and try to find a solution to stem the BPM's dangerousness. He was saying goodbye to the All Blue.

Meanwhile Sanji has 2 dedicated fully fleshed out awesome arcs, gifting us backstory upon backstory thats rich in history and feels for his character and development
Zoro only has his introduction, some random flashbacks to dojo days no one cares about, Mihawk making him cry + reminiscing over Tashigi who no one cares about

I don't quite understand people who argue that Zoro is a wooden or one dimensional character. His character and personality stays consistent throughout the whole series. Every SH is willing to die for Luffy, but no one will have a moment that carries the same weight as Zoro's moment in Thriller Bark.
Sanji may have more 'personality' but he does cause problems for the crew. Maybe it's because I am a woman but I don't understand how being a simp or a perv is considered an interesting character trait? Furthermore, it is mainly used as a plot device. How can he physically be unable to fight a woman? Unfortunately there's been times when Post Time Skip Sanji hasn't been as good as Pre Time Skip Sanji. I hated Sanji during Fishman Island. I was annoyed with parts of his behavior during WCI. I am not annoyed with him now. I have enjoyed a lot of his moments in Wano.
Wano has given us so many great Zoro moments. He befriends Yasuie, Toko, and Hyori. Earns the respect of his fellow supernova, and still continues to solidify himself as the vice captain. Sanji may have more drama or traits but that doesn't make his storylines or development better. It's all depends on the preference of the reader.

None of his flashbacks are shit but which one are you talking about? The Zeff one was genuinely touching, and the Germa one is lowkey sad but very informative and adds to the lore significantly.

dude, how can you compare these two situations. I am amazed.
Ace is already one of the most famous pirate about people in the pirate world at that moment. There's also whitebeard behind it. Could zeff and ace situation be the same?
The issue of trust in nakama is the issue that I am most nervous and tired of.
Remember . When Sanji first agreed to go, half the crew was not there . zou had already been destroyed. So leaving was not an option, it was a mandatory.
The purpose of going was to refuse the wedding and return. but when he came to the castle he learned why he couldn't give up this wedding.
When Sanji and Luffy got into a fight, there was no alternative to the current situation for Sanji. Either he would bring his crew with him and kill them all. or he would say he was leaving the crew. The point you missed was that at that moment, Sanji left the crew and asked them to come back. Luffy didn't do the same thing for usopp and didn't take it back until he apologized. but Luffy was stubborn about Sanji and didn't give up.
Then, Sanji agreed to go to the wedding knowing that he would die taking the word of his friend life from BigMom. So at that moment, Sanji had already accepted death, was insecure due to childhood traumas, and considered himself out of the crew.
So, Sanji's issue has nothing to do with trusting his friends. You talk so much that everyone was there when Sanji first came to be picked up, like Sanji turned his back.
