He took the Hakai because Luffy was too slow to dodge it and he obviously doesn't want Luffy to die.

Luffy got his ass handed him when he went in to fight Kaido fresh, he just got to sleep it off while the rest of the rooftop 5 did their thing.

Zoro went in with 30 broken bones and did more damage than Luffy did even with AdCoC

Tbf Zoro has three swords to shield himself from most attacks. Only a smackhead would really expect Luffy to stop an attack of that magnitude with his fists.

Fighting Kaido for a long period of time is meaningless if you can't actually hurt him. Zoro replicated a feat only Oden had done before.

Honestly dont know if this is better than the fukuro fight , I know from a Anime standpoint it will be, but from a Manga standpoint....... this is significantly shorter than the fukuro fight if it ends here.

Sanji is getting his training for Kizaru's lasers by fighting the cyborg Queen
Yamato has horns eat a DF because of hunger and got some mythical powers , is incredibly strong and will have to fight Green Bull.
