Questions & Mysteries Why ace never achieved his father's greatness

#21
Roger would be completely evaporated, if he already got stabbed to death by a weapon held by East Blue executioners.

We already saw what unrestricted, awakened Akainu did to Punk Hazard and the effect still remains the same even after 2 years later!!

We already saw what restricted base Akainu did to half of Whitebeard's face and beard in Marineford.
We already saw what Akainu did after coming back to surface, soloing whole Whitebeard commanders and Crocodile!!
Unless you actually believe these guys combined all together are weaker than Old sick 7% HP left Whitebeard.
So in that sense, Akainu came back after 2 sneak punches from Whitebeard, only to face even stronger foes!!

Meanwhile Whitebeard faced a whole team who ran away just after seeing Akainu, and still ended up dead...
He faced Akainu, the match somehow got paused, he faced weaker opponents who in the future chickened against Akainu, and still got killed lol
Why do you hate a legend Roger/whitebeard so much? Why do you and other people have to take a side (choose characters)?
Isn't it childish anyway?
I don't understand what's the problem? Beautiful story of whitebeard or other character but still got hated?
Hmm

If Ace didn't protect Luffy, Luffy would have met the crew 3 days later and got annihilated by paciVistas again. DR, Zou, FI, PH Wano people will still live in misery. This Ace hate is ridiculous. :wellwell:

Because Ace lacked the ambition. He wanted to live a life of no regret, he had no interest in becoming pirate king or a legend. You can't be something you don't strive to be.

One can say that it doesn't seem like that Roger or WB had any such ambition either. But still they never had inferiority complex.

Lacked the ambition for the most part. Even said himself that he wanted to make WB the pirate king. His potential would have been throttled down as long as he would have sailed under WB.
Afterwards, in case WB would have died naturally, he most likely would have made it tho. The potential was there.
But as we all know Akainu happened

Because of Blackbeard, not Akainu lmao.

Blackbeard caused him to go nuts and he had no choice but to fight with Blackbeard after learning he is going to capture Luffy. Then Blackbeard specifically said he delivered Ace alive, and he still died.

But Admirals wankers believes it was because Akainu, he was a executioner at best in a battle his survival chance was %1, Ace had no chance to escape from marineford especially with that not running mindset, his DF power was specifically weak against Akainu's DF power, if he was a snow logia then Aokiji would execute him, it's as simple as that.

Took roger 26 years of Piracy to be Great pirate and PK

You want Ace to be Great pirate when He had to protect Luffy ... and he met Akainu

Akainu . Blackbeard wankers believe otherwise maybe though
:milaugh:

Ace wouldn't give a fuck about Akainu, and he could never catch Ace alone.

Blackbeard was in his division which why he took that personal.

Blackbeard captured Ace and he delivered Ace alive, and he orchestrate the fight between WB pirates and marines, Ace could've been executed easily without Akainu if not for Galdino appearing magically in the last second.

The true winner of marineford battle is Blackbeard, not the marines.

Well...for starters, he lacked ambition/will to become king by himself and he wanted to make WB pirate king.....also, he died abruptly before reaching his potential....

His only goal is that someone should recognize him for what he is and he wanted someone to acknowledge him....as simple as that...

Pretty much. Luffy teaches us how important head is, given how much progress he made and the fact he was all but a powerhouse at first.

Determination and setting goals.

I agree that his main goal was to be acknowledged or to be more precise to overshadow his own dad, but to accomplish that he initially aimed at doing better than his dad and thus aiming for the one piece. Luffy himself said so.

It is also the reason why he targetted the one hyped at the time to be the closest to the one piece(Whitebeard)

It's only later that he changed his mind in wanting to make Whitebeard the pirate king instead and eventhen, considering Whitebeard was aiming at the opposite with him wanting to die to save Ace, Ace would have eventually come back to his initial target(One Piece) to overshadow his dad
