We never knew what happened to Gaban, and we also never knew what happened to the Oro Jackson. Presumably it was never captured by the WG, even though they would obviously be interested in acquiring it. A ship would be a lot harder to hide than a person, so you’d think the ship would have been found right now, but it hasn’t, so it must be in a really good hiding place. I think the Oro Jackson is being hidden on Laugh Tale, and since there would have had to have been someone who brought the ship there, I think that Gaban is the one who is hiding away on Laugh Tale, along with the Oro Jackson

Scopper Gaban is the Laugh Tale.
On a serious note. He never got any importance aside of being sort of portrayed as the 3rd guy in Roger's crew. I liked the idea of him showing up to Wano maybe or teaching Luffy something as Rayleigh did but I don't think Oda thought about his character that deep as we did. If he was some exceptional character we would get to know in Oden's flashback.
