Character Discussion Understanding the Duality of Sanji in One Piece Arcs.

#1. Sanji Has ALWAYS and will ALWAYS be compromsied by Women......

People often get upset whenever Sanji gets compromised by Women. Idk who needs to hear this…. But this has always been part of the 2 part package when it comes to Sanji, Especially in Major arcs. And it often happens either Before or During Sanjis Major fight.

Oda has consistently emphasized Sanjis inability to hit women.

Alabasta:

Enies Lobby:

Sanji is compromised by women again, this time his actual opponent is a women and he does infact lose to her having to be Bailed out by Nami.

Dressrosa:

Sanji is once again compromsied but this time he turns the female into an ally without having to be saved.

Wano Arc:

Another Major arc, its Black Maria this time, she actually manages to capture Sanji and just like Enies Lobby Sanji has to be bailed out by a female crewmember.

As you can see this is a constant pattern and it will likely continue, whether the writting is good or not does not matter, the point is women have always been intergrated in Sanjis story arcs.

Even going forward I fully expect Sanji to get compromised again in future arcs. As the list of Candidates continues to grow.

But Like I said thats just part of the package, theres one thing you can always look forward too, the comeback........

#2. The Comeback....

The second part of the package.....another constant pattern throughout the story is that Sanji always comes back strong after being compromised by women in some way shape or form.

Alabasta: After the Nami face Trickery

He figures out Mr.2's devil fruit

And proceeds to Defeat Mr.2

Enies Lobby: After Khalifa

Sanji comes back Saves Usopp, has his fight with Jabra , defeats him, and opens the gates of justice.

Dressrosa: After Violet (Although most of it is unappreciated)
Finds out that Doflamingos warlord position wasn’t really revoked.

Briefly Saves the crew from immediate death from doflamingo , gives law enough time for his powers to recuperate a little bit.

Leads the crew to Zou and counter attacks BIg Moms Ship.

Wano: After Black Maria

Takes care of Zoro

Saves Chopper from Queen while holding Zoro

Deflects Perospero's Arrows saving allaince members while injuring both Perospero and Queen simotaneously.

And now the fight with Queen a 2nd commander is currently happening and theres likely more Sanji feats coming up.

This is the duality of Sanji, he's the only strawhat that has this kind of duality, whether or not you should like it is up to you......

The Point is...... we should be passed being upset or shocked at him getting compromsied by Women. It honestly should be an expectation at this point, Its part of his character........Just like we expect Sanji to defeat the 3rd guy and accumulate feats in arcs.

But Yea..... Leave Your Thoughts, How do you feel about this?

Nice thread! But what about Pudding? She turned into an ally because of Sanji too

I can honestly see Sanji doing something against CP-0 for some reason later in the arc, perhaps related to Robin or something?

I have a feeling that Oda is building an unexpected situation with Sanji and a woman, like him having to overcome the situation by himself or something

I feel that he should have followed Nami's dictations and worked on his personality because right now he would still choose to endanger his crew instead of hitting a woman and that's potentially a profoundly risky matter under critical situations, of course Oda would make sure no one of the SHs likely dies.
