I am talking about the way it was portrayed. They should know it was a fast paced attack. I mean it was obvious.
Other than that though, there is no proof that toei knows more than the average reader does and why would they. Their only job is to animate already existing material, nothing more than that.

They don't know because it was supposed to be so fast Luffy shouldn't see it coming, even with future sight he barely dodged, that move got nowhere near that speed in the anime

Generalization. Plenty of zoro fans who still treat the anime as irrelevant noncanon filler machine. Stop putting labels on an entire fandom over the stupid shit some of them say
Actually the only CONFIRMED Zoro Wanker is the Head Animation Director of Wano.
There are fact interviews where people say she would just put herself on episodes where she wasn’t actually supposed to be working on directly just to draw Zoro stuff
So, if you were wondering where most of this Anime Zoro wank comes from, the head director herself said she was one… And that’s cool for the anime, but it ain’t canon to the manga nonetheless
If Oda really wanted people to know that Zoro has mastered basic coc, he would have explicity cleared it way ahead in the manga, instead of teasing the readers with fake outs and ramping up the anticipation.
But Toei had to ruin one of the biggest reveal of the manga in such an anti climactic way.
Sullying the good story plot with meaningless hype moments is one of the worst thing Toei can do for their watchers and doesn't convey the story in the way author wanted to.
Also I doubt Oda green lighted the episode, even if he did he has stated he cares more about the manga than the anime.
its still putting things into perspective...
like someone had to explain what Drake was doing when sanji was whining about zoro taking hyori.. that in the manga doesn't make sense.. just like zoro saying he doesn't know what Kaido is talking about implicating he doesn't know he has Coc.. but then it doesn't make sense for one to suddenly unlock CoC and then instantly imbue it.. it just a discrepancy and a stretch.. what Toei did was make sense out of it that Zoro has Coc and knows that he has it rather than taking the initial illogical route..
so sanji attacking drake is also justified and mind you the episodes are ranked as CANON and Non canon aand both of these episodes of sanji KOn drake and Zoro knocking fodders with Coc are CANON..
if you say no to this honestly.. would just label you as bias and dishonest.

If its was the worst thing for Toei watchers then they be cancel right now and manga readers wouldn't be tweaking to see "rooftop" animated but apparently not lol
Doesn't negate my first few sentences, even if Oda green lighted it, it was terrible decision on his part or he just doesn't care much about what happens in the anime, especially when we have seen that the way it was executed in the manga was much more effective.
